Websites are digital tools that help organize and present information for public and private use with no comparable or equal. They are a digital tool very comparable in importance to digital Documents, Spreadsheets or a Slide Deck, but like each of those there is a time where they are the best fit for storing and sharing data.

Prior to a few years ago, there were very few ways to build unlimited sites for free easily in any tool that seemed robust enough to make a difference. In order to use them like digital documents, you had not know how to build sites within sites and you had to have knowledge fo quite a few digital languages or technologies.

That is no longer the case, and householders as well as Small Business Owners need website building skills yesterday.

Websites can be used by the common person for far more than "marketing" and why, and no one has pointed out which platforms allow you to build multiple or unlimited number of sites for free, making it a viable communication tool.

Websites are most like Slide Deck presentations (PowerPoint presentations) without the requirement to move in linear fashion. If Presentations are 2 dimensional, websites are 3 dimensional.

With as little as 30 to 60 minutes of education one of the best digital formats for storing, organizing and sharing data can be far better understood.

• Knowledge Base

• Personal Note taking systems (like EverNote)

• A Personal Publishing Platform (for a collection of articles by others and/or your own personal commentary)

• A platform for Blogs

• A platform for e-commerce

• A place to share Best Practices for those willing to do so...

2. Learning to build sites is likely like learning a language. It's easier to learn two than it is to learn 1.

3. If/when you understand these two, it should give you enough of a background to attempt to explore others similar if interested.

There are other types of website systems where files are edited on a local machine and then published to a webserver for global broadcast. This was all that was available prior to 2008 or so. These system are now considered older and more complex. We hope to cover some of these options in the future.
